Early stage venture capital firm YourNest said today it has appointed Satish Mugulavalli Director (technology).
Mugulavalli had co-founded Revvx IOT Hardware Accelerator -- India's first accelerator for hardware start-ups. He will work closely with the fund to identify start-ups in deep technology and be the hands-on expert for portfolio companies, YourNest said in a statement.
Mugulavalli will drive innovation, growth and product life cycles for portfolio companies and also guide them on IP, patenting, system architecture and team building, it added. He will identify deep technology investments in areas like Internet of Things (IoT), advanced robotics and enterprise software.
"We have a laser-sharp focus on deep-technology companies and Satish brings the scientific temperament of a technologist and the business acumen of an entrepreneur to further our philosophy of co-creation," YourNest India VC Fund founder and CEO Sunil Goyal said.
Mugulavalli has held leadership roles for over 20 years in several start-ups such as Verismo Networks, Teneoris Networks, Ishoni and Multi-Tech.
He holds patents in digital media and networking. Some of the marquee investments of YorNest's fund include companies like Arya.Ai, Uniphore, Mycity4kids and GolfLan. It recently launched YourNest India Fund II, with a corpus of Rs 300 crore to offer pre-Series A funding to 4-8 ventures every year.
