A-20-year-old youth has been arrested on the charge of murder by Solapur police in Maharashtra.
Rahul Jamadar, the accused, had a tiff with Kashinath Yajmale on Monday evening as Yajmale objected to the former bursting fire-crackers in front of Yajmale's house.
The two lived in the same locality.
"This irked the accused, who assaulted Yajmale and punched him in the face. The octogenarian fell to the ground and sustained a head injury," said a police officer from Sadar Bazar police station in Solapur.
Yajmale succumbed to his injury yesterday evening, after which Jamadar was arrested for murder.
