A 27-year-old youth died after he fell off an electric pole which collapsed in the district, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when Munish, an electrician, scaled the pole without any safety devices. As Munish climbed up, the pole collapsed and he fell to his death, they said.
The youth's uncle Rambir, resident of Narabali area, has alleged that Munish's employer Yogendra, an electric contractor, forced him to scale the pole without any safety precaution, police said.
Rambir has accused Yogendra of being responsible for the death of Munish, they said.
A case was registered with Police Station Tigaon under section 304A (causing death by negligence) of IPC, ASI Badan Singh, the investigating officer in the case, said.
