Credence Floats Websites To Offer A Range Of Financial Information

The firm has also launched a site called fundinsight.com which would be aimed at mutual funds and their distributors.
Explaining the rationale for the launch of intreasury.com, director of Credence, Vivek Sinha said that an important target audience for the site would be those investors and treasuries situated outside Mumbai.
"Investors located outside Mumbai have a poorer access to information than their counterparts located within the city and have to rely on other sources of information which may not be accurate."
The site also carries a range of analytical tools such as bond yield calculators and repo calculators apart from information and analysis on corporate bonds and government securities markets. The site will also provide training services for treasuries and services which enable institutions to market their portfolios.
While the site is at present free, Sinha says that Credence will continue to make available the information for free in the future, it might provide further value-added services such as analysis for a fee. "It is also possible that in the future the site could provide inputs to the treasury by linking up with the front office and back office systems directly. We are working on that."
Fundinsight.com is a site focusing on the mutual fund industry and carries performance analysis of the various mutual funds and their schemes which are available.
Credence also offers software and information products such as IDEAL which is a treasury management software.
