Dst To Patent Miracle Petrol Abroad

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) has prepared a document to support Pillai's claim for a patent, DST sources said, adding that the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) demonstration was held to get the production parameters correct to support the patent claim.

Department of Science and Technology secretary V Ramamurti was not available for comments.

The sources said Pillai had approached them over a year ago and that work on proving the properties of this miracle petrol has been on at the Institute of Technology Madras.

Prolonged experimentation of the fluid with two stroke and four stroke engines has proved successful, they said.

 

The Department of Science & Technology wants to file patents in the US, Europe, Japan, the Gulf and other major markets before giving out its composition.

V K Jha, professor of chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology here said an analysis of the liquid was on to figure out its contents.
