In addition, the consultancy and contracting units achieved a total turnover of Rs 29.67 crore during the month against the target of Rs 32.79 crore.

Bharat Process & Mechanical Engineering Ltd (BPME) registered a 265.27 per cent growth by more than doubling its production from Rs 5.95 lakh in September last year to Rs 14.59 lakh this year. Tannery Footwear Corporation of India (TAFCO) also notched up an impressive growth.

The production stood at Rs 9.22 lakh as against zero production in the corresponding period last year.

Braithwaite & Co (BCL) registered a 140.88 per cent growth with production touching Rs 1518.85 lakh in September.

 

The cumulative production of manufacturing enterprises during April-September 1996 was valued at Rs 4,046.17 crore. This was 12.61 per cent higher than the production of Rs 3,592.93 crore achieved during the corresponding period in 1995-96.

The cumulative turnover of consultancy and contracting enterprises up to September 1996 was Rs 151.60 crore.
