Lever Replaces Wipro In Mkt Cap

The ICE major Wipro has been pushed down from the number one slot in market capitalisation to the second place. Fast moving consumer goods major, Hindustan Lever, is back at the top.
HLL's market capitalisation stands at Rs 49,536 crore, with the scrip closing the week at Rs 2,251. And Wipro's market capitalisation stands at Rs 45,840 crore, with the scrip losing a straight 12 per cent on Thursday and another 3.9 per cent yesterday to close at Rs 2,000.
The ICE major's current market cap stands a good one-fifth of its peak on February 21, when it had hit a high of Rs 9,624, and a corresponding market cap of Rs 2,20,582 crore. It closed 18 times at the lower end of circuit filter, but hit the upper end as many as 10 times, indicating wild fluctuations in the sentiment on the scrip.

The other ICE major, Infosys Technologies slid to the third position from the second slot. Infosys' current market capitalisation stands at Rs 42,720 crore.
Zee Telefilms, which climbed to the third position on February 21, slipped back to the fifth spot with a current market cap of only Rs 19,179 crore.
