Overseas capital scouting missions have helped Orissa to attract promises of foreign investment worth Rs 22,000 crore in the past one-and-a-half years, according to Chief Minister J B Patnaik. And the Chief Minister is optimistic of adding to that total through his latest visit to the US, which began yesterday.

Patnaik is leading a 25-member delegation, which will focus on attracting investment in electronics, software, food processing, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and infrastructure. The team will visit America's top business cities
