Quit India Jubilee

A grand ceremony to commemorate the golden jubilee of the independence coinciding with the 55th anniversary of the launch of Quit India movement is being organised in Mumbai on August 9 in presence of the President and the Prime Minister.The venue of the main function would be August Kranti Maidan, formerly Gawalia Tank Ground, from where Mahatma Gandhi had asked the British to quit India.
