Rajasthan Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (RDPL) registered a record net profit of Rs 76 lakh in 1996-97. It achieved 15 per cent growth in sales turnover during the same period. A joint venture of the Central and the Rajasthan governments, it has the distinction of being the second profit-making public sector unit in the pharmaceutical sector.
