Renewed Fi Interest

The Delhi Stock Exchange after witnessing a long bearish phase, saw a recovery in some of the stock prices yesterday.
Most of the financial institutions made increased purchases at select counters of major scrips in the wake of some short-covering.
However, other shares continued to remain under selling pressure from foreign institutional investors and surrendered further grounds.
The Delhi Stock Exchange Index ended the day at 692.39 points as against yesterdays closing of 692.20 points. Shares of controversial Indian Tobacco Company and Larsen & Toubro were in increased demand after remaining extremely depressed.
The undercurrent at the stock exchange during closing time was mixed and volume of business fairly moderate.
