4S plans technology centre in Pune

| Four Soft Limited (4S), an enterprise solutions company, plans to establish a technology centre in Pune. The centre is likely to start functioning from August 1, 2006. |
| 4S develops software products and provides IT consultancy services for the logistics and supply chain management marketplace. According to a press release, the technology centre will work on the company's core products using the leading J2EE methodologies. |
| The company is venturing into multi-site software development, the integration and delivery of which will be done from Hyderabad. |
| 4S plans to hire 200-300 professionals by the year-end across the globe. Its present headcount is around 675. The Pune centre is likely to have an initial capacity of 50 people. |
| Srikanth Palem, chief executive officer and managing director of Four Soft, said, "Availability of skilled quality resources is one of the major reasons to open a technology centre in a strategic location like Pune." |
| According to Kalyan Gangavarapu, chief operating officer of Four Soft, the company is also looking at opening technology centres in other global locations. |
