Software provider Autodesk is moving to pay-as-you-go model for all of its latest design and creation suites, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, and the new Autodesk Maya LT.
For the first time, customers can purchase access to a range of Autodesk desktop software on a quarterly or annual basis, in addition to traditional licenses, broadly expanding choices on how to access and pay for Autodesk software.
“The new Autodesk rental plans will appeal to many types of customers, depending on their business needs. In India, I expect our rental plans to be very appealing for small and medium-sized businesses, which contribute more than 60% to the Indian GDP. There are over 48 million SMBs nationwide – making India one of the largest SMB markets in the world. Since SMBs are typically more price sensitive than large enterprises, and tend to support more adhoc projects, Autodesk’s rental plans give them an option to easily ramp up and scale back as needed,” Pradeep Nair, MD, Autodesk India & SAARC.
The option to purchase quarterly or annual rental plan will be available to customers in India.
New rental plans apply to products including Autodesk AutoCAD Design Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD Inventor LT Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD Revit LT Suite, Autodesk Building Design Suite, Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite, Autodesk Factory Design Suite, Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite, Autodesk Plant Design Suite, Autodesk Product Design Suite, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Autodesk Maya LT. Availability varies by country.
