Datamatics Global Services, a leading IT solutions provider and knowledge process outsourcing (KP0) outfit, is planning to open three new delivery centres at Ahmedabad, Pondicherry and Indore within the next 18 months for an investment of around Rs 75 crores.

As the company is eying a 20 per cent yearly growth for the next three years, it is targeting tier-II and tier-III to fuel its growth plans.

"We are planning to tap tier-II and tier-III cities to fuel our expansion plans. As part of this, we are opening three new delivery centres in Ahmedabad, Pondicherry and Indore with a capacity of around 1,000 people in each centre within the next 18 months. Of these, the Ahmedabad and Pondicherry centers will come up within this fiscal, while the Indore center will start in the next financial year," said Lalit Kanodia, chairman, Datamatics Global Services. He added that the investment per delivery center would be close to Rs 25 crore.

According to a Nasscom study, around 58 per cent of the software employees are from tier 2 and tier 3 cities, Kanodia said. However, due to lack of suitable job opportunities, these professionals have to migrate to other major cities, he added.Datamatics has, therefore, planned to tap these cities for talent.
