| Google today announced the appointment of Prasad Bhaarat Ram as the new chief technology officer (CTO) of its India R&D unit. Prior to this, Ram was CTO at Yahoo India's R&D unit in Bangalore. According to an official statement issued by Google today, Ram will head engineering and site operations at the company's R&D centre in Bangalore. "Ram brings to Google a wealth of experience in technology development and organisation building, as well as a deep knowledge of the local Indian market," Alan Eustace, vice president of engineering at Google, said. "It is a great opportunity to join Google and be involved with a company that places such great value on innovation and creativity," Ram said. |
