MindTree named reseller of Aussie firm

MindTree Consulting, an IT and R&D services company, has announced that it has signed a partnership with

Australia-based Lansa, a provider of application development and integration software. According to the agreement, MindTree will be the sole Indian reseller and implementer of InsurerIT, an interactive Internet transaction processing framework for insurance firms.

InsureIT is an e-commerce and quotation management framework that caters to the needs of the general and life insurance categories.

It provides the insurance firms and the brokers with an easy way to build web-enabled insurance products, the company said in a statement.

"Most insurance firms in India use legacy systems for their back-end operations. We are bringing them an e-commerce framework which will help them build insurance products quickly and that can be maintained easily by non-technical users," said Ranjan Narayanan, senior vice president and head, System i and Mainframe Practice, MindTree Consulting.

MindTree Consulting has been closely associated with Lansa in Australia and the US and has already built web-based solutions using Lansa family of products and tools for a US-based insurance company.
