Systimax centre to brief on solutions

Our Bureau Chennai/ Bangalore
Buoyed by the rate of cable installations going on in India, Systimax Solutions, a CommScope Company that provides structured cabling systems, has announced the opening of its executive briefing centre (EBC) in Bangalore.

The Bangalore EBC will be the company's third such facility to be opened in the Asia Pacific region, after Brisbane in Australia and Shanghai in China, the company informed.

The US-headquartered company also announced the launching of Systimax X10D solution, a high-speed cabling solution representing the latest trends in copper technology and iPatch system for real time data centre infrastructure management.

Randll W Crenshaw, CommScope's executive vice president and general manager (enterprise) told the media on Tuesday that the "Bangalore ECB will provide first-hand knowledge on Systimax's end-to-end connectivity solutions that include copper, fibre, patching and wireless offerings, to support the long-term IT infrastructure requirement of enterprises," Crenshaw said.

Ispran Kandasamy, vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific for Systimax Solution said that according to an estimate by the company, the terabytes of data moving and being stored on networks across the world will triple over the next five years.

"Since India is tipped to be the 14th highest IT spender by 2008, the opening of ECB here is an affirmation to our commitment to build a stronger presence in India," he said. He said that with this, the company will be able to extend its reach and value-added to the customers in India.

According to the company, it produces 300 mile of cable in every single day and the worldwide installation of cable by the company is about 1,000 miles every day.
