| Pune-based Zensar Technologies has embarked on its next phase of software migration solution - Solution Initiative for Transformation and Re-engineering (Sitar), for transfering existing legacy systems to the open source platform. |
| Zensar has successfully completed one-year pilot programme for its Japanese partner, Nomura Research Institute (NRI). |
| According to a company press release, the next phase of the project is estimated at 3,000 person-months of effort over 18 months and will be costing over $10 million. |
| Ishibashi, vice-president (corporate), NRI, said, "This is a strategic partnership with Zensar for achieving a leadership space in application modernisation migration market in Japan. In the last one year of pilot implementation, both the parties have achieved the process maturity required for the Japanese market. Nomura's internal projects are currently being handled by the Zensar teams. Following the successful completion of these, the same model would be taken to external customers." |
