Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.
Godrej Industries has presence in chemicals, estate management (real estate), finance & investments.
On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Chairman and Managing Director of Bikaji Foods International Ltd Shiv Ratan Agarwal died in Chennai on Thursday morning, family sources said here.
The 74-year-old complained of uneasiness and was rushed to a private hospital in Tamil Nadu's capital, where he breathed his last, the sources said.
His wife had recently undergone a heart bypass surgery, and doctors had advised rest, due to which he had been staying in Chennai, they added.

Pharma major Cipla Ltd on Thursday said it has received final approval from the US health regulator for its generic version of albuterol sulfate inhalation aerosol indicated for the treatment or prevention of bronchospasm.
The final approval granted by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) is for the abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) of Albuterol sulfate inhalation aerosol of strength 90 mcg per actuation, Cipla said in a regulatory filing.
It is the first AB-rated generic therapeutic equivalent of Ventolin HFA, marketed by GlaxoSmithKline, it added.
Commenting on the approval, Cipla Managing Director and Global CEO Achin Gupta said, "This marks an important milestone for Cipla and reflects our strong scientific and regulatory capabilities in complex inhalation products."

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday said it has bagged a contract from Oberoi Realty for the construction of seven high-rise residential towers in Gurugram.
The project has been bagged by the buildings and factories business vertical of L&T, the company said in a filing to BSE.
The vertical has also bagged many other orders in the domestic market, including for construction of proving ground (testing place) from an international company in Haryana.
The facility will boost testing infrastructure for vehicles embedded with latest technology. Besides the proving ground, the scope includes finishing works and external development relevant to the facility.
The deal size of the orders was not disclosed by the company.

Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on  Thursday said it clocked its highest-ever annual production volume of 23.4 lakh units in FY 2025-26.
The feat makes the company the only passenger vehicles manufacturer in India to achieve such record production volume as per SIAM data, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) said in a statement.
