ACME Solar commissions first phase of 100 MW wind project in Gujarat

ACME Solar Holdings on Saturday announced commissioning of 28 MW first phase of its 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat. With this, the company's total operational capacity has increased from 2,890 MW to 2,918 MW, ACME Solar said in a statement. The ACME Eco Clean wind project is located at Surendranagar in Gujarat. The project has been financed through Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed through in-house EPC. The clean energy harnessed through the project is pooled at 33/220 kV pooling station and stepped up for evacuation to Shapar sub-station using a dedicated single circuit 220 kV transmission line. The project would share the sub-station with ACME Solar's already commissioned 50 MW wind power project. The power generated from the project will be sold through the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between ACME Eco Clean and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

ACME Group plans ₹5,000 cr investment to set up 1.2 MTPA DRI facility

ACME Group is planning to invest Rs 5,000 crore to set up a direct reduced iron (DRI) facility, according to industry sources. A capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) will be set up in the first phase to produce green HBI/GRI (Green Hot Briquetted Iron and Green Direct Reduced Iron for use in making green steel), sources close to the development said. "Our greenfield facility will produce some of the lowest carbon emission green HBI and DRI products, underscoring our unwavering commitment as a leader of clean technology solutions in India," ACME Group Chairman Manoj Kumar Upadhyay said without divulging information related to the investment being planned for the project. ACME Solar secures ₹1,100 cr SBI funding for 300 MW project in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings on Tuesday said it has raised Rs 1,100 crore in domestic funding from the State Bank of India for its 300 MW renewable energy project in Rajasthan. The funds will be utilised to refinance the existing debt and reduce financing cost by around 100 bps for the Rajasthan project. This refinancing has been secured from the State Bank of India (SBI) for a tenure of approximately 17 years. ACME Venus Urja, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings, has secured long-term project funding of Rs 3,892 crore from the State Bank of India for the development and construction of a 400 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The repayment spread across 19 years, ACME Solar Holdings said in a statement on Thursday. The FDRE project is being developed in Barmer, Rajasthan and is contracted with NHPC at a tariff of Rs 4.64/Unit. ACME Solar secures BESS projects of 275 MW/550 MWh in Andhra Pradesh

ACME Solar Holdings on Thursday said it has bagged standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with cumulative capacity of 275 MW/550 MWh in Andhra Pradesh. The project requires system availability for two full operational cycles of two hours each every day, a company statement said. ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has emerged as the winning bidder for NHPC's tender for cumulative capacity of 275 MW/550 MWh standalone BESS projects in Andhra Pradesh across two projects at Kuppam and Ghani, the statement said. The company's winning bid for the Kuppam project was at a tariff of Rs 2,10,000 per MW per month with a capacity of 50 MW/100 MWh, it said. ACME Solar Holdings on Monday said it has secured a Rs 1,072-crore domestic project finance facility for its arm ACME Aklera Power Technology to refinance existing debt for its 250 MW operational project in Rajasthan. The project has an operational track record of 18 months and achieved an annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 29.3 per cent in FY25, a company statement said.
