Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 58,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh on Friday, which includes resuming the construction of greenfield capital city Amaravati. According to the official schedule shared by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's office, PM Modi is expected to land at Gannavaram Airport (Vijayawada Airport) at 2:55 pm and travel by helicopter to Velagapudi secretariat helipad. "He will be received by Naidu and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan. By 3:30 pm, the Prime Minister will arrive at the public meeting venue and participate in the foundation-laying and inaugural events," said a press release from the CM's office. Rammohan Naidu says Baruva beach in Andhra Pradesh to be tourism hub

Union Minister K Rammohan Naidu on Saturday announced that Baruva Beach in Sompeta mandal of Srikakulam district will be developed into a tourism hub, offering water sports like scuba diving, paramotor flying, and eco-tourism experiences. After launching the beach festival here, Naidu unveiled these plans. The Union Minister of Civil Aviation told reporters, "Plans are underway to transform Baruva into a mini Goa. Youth will be trained in diving, guiding, and event management to create local employment." Andhra Pradesh to launch LEAP model for education revamp, says Nara Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh is revamping its education model this month with the launch of LEAP (Learning Excellence in Andhra Pradesh) model, aimed at overhauling curriculum, pedagogy and infrastructure, according to Education Minister Nara Lokesh. Play-based curriculum, pedagogy training and an AI-driven remedial assessment programme, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), are among the major highlights of the model. "Andhra Pradesh is pioneering a new era of education through LEAP focusing on foundational learning, global best practices, and inclusive growth," Lokesh told PTI. Centre, Andhra framing joint action plan to strengthen Vizag Steel Plant

The central and state governments are formulating a comprehensive action plan to strengthen the Vizag Steel Plant (VPS). A delegation from the Union Ministry of Steel held discussions with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Undavalli, Guntur district, on Monday, said an official release. Recruitment of over 16k teachers will begin in 1st week of April: Andhra CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday announced that the process of recruiting 16,347 teachers through the District Selection Committee (DSC) examination will begin in the first week of April. Addressing the third Collectors' Conference at the Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the teacher recruitment process should commence in early April and conclude with their appointment before schools reopen for the next academic year in June. "In the first week of April, the mega DSC notification will be issued. The recruitment process should begin in April and be completed before schools reopen, along with the necessary training," Naidu said during the conference. HMPL to invest Rs 2,500 crore in 500 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh

Infra-to-energy player Hazoor Multi Projects Limited (HMPL) has plans to set up a 500 megawatt solar project in Andhra Pradesh at an investment of Rs 2,500 crore. It has already submitted a proposal with the state government to set up the project in Prakasam district over an area of 2,000 acres, as per information shared by the company. The AP government in a communication said New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation (NREDCAP) will facilitate for successful execution of proposed solar park project. The state government has also asked the company to submit its detailed project report (DPR) for the project. HMPL is into renewable energy and building road projects on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. Last week, the company made a foray into the domestic renewable energy sector with the development of 1.2 GW of clean energy projects spread across 4,200 acres land in Maharashtra.

Andhra Pradesh investment board has approved projects worth Rs 44,776 crore this month, largely in the clean energy space, which will generate 19,580 jobs, the state government said. Of the projects approved, Rs 42,932 crore worth of projects are in the energy sector, mostly solar energy. The energy projects cleared include Rs 14,328 crore investment by Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd and Rs 10,300 crore investment by Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd. Other companies whose projects were cleared include Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (RS 2,000 crore), Ayana Renewable Power Pvt Ltd (Rs 4,435 crore), Ampin Energy Transition Pvt Ltd (Rs 3,142 crore), SAEL Solar MHP1 Pvt Ltd (Rs 1,728 crore), SAEL Solar MHP2 Pvt Ltd (Rs 1,728 crore), Cuddapah Renewables Pvt Ltd (Rs 1,163 crore) and Ecoren Energy India Pvt Ltd (Rs 1,651 crore). Andhra to roll out 'WhatsApp governance' on Jan 30, offering 161 services

The Andhra Pradesh government is set to introduce 'WhatsApp governance' starting Thursday, enabling people to avail themselves of 161 services through the messaging app, obviating the need to make multiple visits to government offices for procuring documents. Officials gave Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu a demonstration on this new programme during a review meeting held at the secretariat on Wednesday. Andhra CM to meet Bill Gates, several global executives in Switzerland

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to meet Microsoft founder Bill Gates and several other global executives in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday, officials said.
