Bengal: TMC leading in 28 seats, BJP 11, Congress & CPM 1 each

The TMC raced ahead of its rivals, leading in 28 seats after several rounds of counting, while the BJP led in 11, Congress and CPI(M) in one each, according to the Election Commission website. TMC candidate and sitting MP Abhishek Banerjee is leading in the Diamond Harbour constituency over his nearest rival, BJP's Abhijit Das, by a margin of 115,933 votes. TMC's Hooghly candidate Rachana Banerjee was leading over her nearest BJP rival and sitting MP Locket Chatterjee by a margin of over 12,139 votes. TMC candidate and two-time MP Asit Mal was leading from Bolpur over her nearest rival, BJP's Piya Saha, by 6,010 votes. In Malda Dakshin, Congress candidate Isha Khan Choudhury was leading by 11,733 votes over her nearest BJP rival, Sreerupa Mitra Chowdhury. In Jadavpur, TMC's Sayani Ghosh was leading by over 40,000 votes over her nearest BJP rival, Anirban Ganguly. LS polls 2024: PM Modi set for third term as Opposition makes big gains

The BJP-led NDA was ahead with leads in 296 seats and the opposition INDIA bloc not far behind in 227 seats as votes were counted for the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday, setting the course for a third consecutive term as prime minister for Narendra Modi but with a stronger opposition. While the BJP was ahead in 236 of 542 seats, the Congress had leads in 97, signalling a dip for the ruling party from the 303 score in 2019 and a spike for the opposition party's 52 from the last election. An election marked by acridity and acrimony could end with the treasury benches in reduced numbers and an opposition with more teeth. In trends available till 11.45 am, the NDA was close to the 300 mark, comfortably over the magic figure of 272 with the opposition INDIA bloc making significant gains. Maharashtra: BJP, Shiv Sena (UBT) leading in 11 seats, Cong ahead in 10

BJP ahead in six Lok Sabha seats, Congress in one in Delhi: EC trends

The BJP was leading on six seats and the Congress on one in Delhi on Tuesday, according to Election Commission trends. Congress's Jai Prakash Agarwal was leading by a margin of 624 votes, EC data showed. LS polls 2024: BJP ahead in 24 seats in Gujarat, Congress leads in 1

The BJP was leading in 22 and the Congress in three Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat as per early trends, an election official said on Tuesday. Counting of votes for the single-phase elections in 25 seats held on May 7 began at 8 am on Tuesday. The Bharatiya Janata Party was leading on 22 and Congress on three seats, the Election Commission of India (ECI) data showed. BJP leader Amit Shah is ahead on Gandhinagar seat, while Mansukh Mandaviya is leading from Porbandar.
