David Letterman's interview series returning to Netflix on May 31

Veteran late night show host David Letterman is coming back with the second season of his interview series on Netflix from May 31. According to Variety, the new season "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman" will have six episodes, that will drop at once. Date of each episode dedicated to in-depth interviews with special guests will be announced later. As per reports, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is expected to be one of the guests featuring on the show. M Night Shyamalan's next to have 'sci-fi bent'

M Night Shyamalan has started working on his next and the director says the feature film will have an element of science fiction. The filmmaker made the announcement on Tuesday on Twitter. "Outlining new film... Has a little fun sci-fi bent. Feels so good to begin a new story," wrote Shyamalan. The director's latest film "Glass" was universally panned by critics upon its debut in theatres in January, but the film went to rake in over USD 240 million worldwide. Shyamalan said the criticism of the film made him cry hard. "Glass", featured Bruce Willis, James McAvoy and Samuel L Jackson, was a sequel to the filmmaker's "Unbreakable" and "Split". Shyamalan is working on Apple series "Servant". He is also developing a feature film, titled "Labour of Love".

Celebrated author Paulo Coelho says his parents did not encourage him to become a writer as they thought that he would starve to death. As a young boy, when he told his mother about his aim in life, she referred to his father saying as an engineer, he is a logical and a reasonable man. In a tweet on Monday, Coelho recalled, It took me 40 years to write my first book. When I was a child, I was not encouraged to follow the career of a writer because my parents thought that I was going to starve to death. Born in 1947, Coelho published his first book Hell Archives in 1982 which did not do well. His first novel was The Pilgrimage (1987). He came out with his magnum opus The Alchemist in 1988. Cate Blanchett is set to feature in Australian TV psychological drama "Stateless". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winner was earlier attached to make her full-fledged directorial debut with the show but will now serve as a co-creator along with Elise McCredie and Tony Ayres. Peter Jackson says he turned down an offer to direct "Aquaman" because he is not a "superhero guy" and does not see himself doing a new feature film for a year or two.
