Blued launches Blued Queer Flicks
Blued, a gay dating and social networking app that has actively been involved in supporting and encouraging the LGBTQ community, has launched their first ever queer film making contest called Blued Queer Flicks.The contest was put together with the aim to promote LGBTQ community and encourage their talent. The contest will be followed by a screening scheduled to be taken place on June 8, 2019, in Delhi.Over 60 entries have been received since the contest was launched in April. Out of the total received entries, there are 10 selected contestants whose short movies will be shown at the fest and the winners will be awarded the cash prizes and awards.The movies are based on queer themes, struggles, love, fun, education and social perception; the filmmakers are budding independent filmmakers who are portraying their views through the lens. Emma Thompson in talks to star in 'Cruella'
Veteran actor-writer Emma Thompson is in early negotiations to feature in Disney's "Cruella". According to The Hollywood Reporter, Thompson will join Emma Stone, who stars in the title role of Cruella De Vil, the villain of the 1961 animated classic "101 Dalmatians". "I, Tonya" director Craig Gillespie is attached to direct. Stone will play the infamous villain in what is being billed as an origin story, set in the early 1980s with a punk vibe. Hollywood veteran Glenn Close famously portrayed the role of the maniacal, notorious, fur-loving dog-hating head of a fashion house who would go to any lengths to get hold of more and more Dalmatian fur in live action "101 Dalmatians" (1996) and "102 Dalmatians" (2000). Tony McNamara has penned the most recent script. Andrew Gunn is producing with Marc Platt and Kristin Burr. Thompson will next reprises her role as Agent O in Sony's "Men In Black International". "Cruell" is slated to hit the theatres on December 23, 2020.
'GoT' showrunners David Benioff, DB Weiss confirmed as new 'Star Wars' writers
"Game of Thrones" showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss have been officially confirmed as the writers of the new "Star Wars" film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo are working on the 2022 "Star Wars" movie, which will follow the upcoming "The Rise of Skywalker", Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed Tuesday. Benioff and Weiss were announced as working on a new trilogy of the beloved sci-fi franchise from Lucasfilm last year. They were identified by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy as being a part of discussions over the next decade's slate of "Star Wars" stories. Last week, Disney announced the dates for its three new "Star Wars" movies being December 16, 2022; December 20, 2024; and December 18, 2026. Benioff and Weiss at the helm of a "Star Wars" project, following "The Rise of Skywalker", closes the story charted by George Lucas over four decades ago. 'GoT' creators to make forthcoming 'Star Wars' film
HBO fantasy series 'Game of Thrones' creators, D.B Weiss and David Benioff, will now be making the forthcoming 'Star Wars' film, which is expected to be out in 2022.Variety reported the news announced by Disney CEO Bob Iger on Tuesday during the MoffettNathanson Media and Communications Summit.Iger said, "We did a deal with David Benioff and Dan Weiss, who are famous for 'Game of Thrones' and the next movie that we release will be theirs, and we're not saying anything more about that."After the release of upcoming 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' in December, three untitled films from the franchise will be released after two years, Disney revealed.He added, "We're hard at work already, but we felt three years was the proper amount of time to not only take a breather and reset but to gear up for the next film's release," Iger said.The first of the three films is scheduled to release on December 16, 2022, while the other two films are slated to hit the screens in 2024 and 2026.Disney .

"Bharat" director Ali Abbas Zafar on Wednesday said filming Partition sequences in the Salman Khan-fronted film was the "most challenging part" of the shoot. The film, which is scheduled to release on June 5, is a remake of 2014 Korean drama "Ode To My Father". Ali said the soul of the film lies in keeping the humanity intact in the middle of chaos during Partition 1947. American actor-comedian Tim Conway passed away on Tuesday at the age of 85 in Los Angeles.Howard Bragman, Conman's representative, confirmed the news to People.
