The 'Chhatra' of a Sai Baba idol at a temple in Hauz Khas was stolen on the night of Holi, police said today. The incident took place yesterday. Efforts are being made to arrest the culprit and recover the stolen item, a police officer said. CCTV footage shows a man, whose face was covered, entering the temple, he said. In another case of theft in a temple in outer Delhi on the same day, a man was arrested for stealing cash from three donation boxes, police said The incident occurred at the Dada Mandu temple in Karala village. Sandeep, 42, was caught within three hours of the theft being reported around 1.36 PM. He was identified through CCTV camera footage, Rajendra Singh Sagar, Additional DCP (outer), said. Rs 10,055 was recovered from him, besides an iron rod and a chisel used to break open the locks, he added.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was admitted to the Apollo Hospital here for a "routine medical check-up" and discharged today, the hospital said. The 73-year-old Vijayan, admitted to the hospital at Greams Road here at 11.55 pm yesterday, was discharged around 4 pm today, hospital authorities said. A hospital bulletin said he was admitted for 'routine annual medical check-up'. Earlier, the Chief Minister's Office in Thiruvananthapuram had said Vijayan was scheduled to be discharged tomorrow evening. Meanwhile, popular Tamil film icon-turned politician Kamal Haasan today called on Vijayan at the government guest house here and enquired about his health condition. Vijayan said he met Haasan at the guest house and shared a picture of the meeting on his facebook page. During the brief interaction, the Makkal Needhi Maiam President enquired about Vijayan's health, a release from the actor's party said. Last year, the 63-year-old actor had met Vijayan at his residence .

South by Southwest (SXSW) will be held in Austin, Texas from March 9 to 18 this year. The "Palace of Horrors", which features Niharika Singh, Mark O'Gleby, Henry Throop and Robin Das, will have its premiere at the festival on March 16.
