I continue to believe Allen: Keaton on Farrow's claims

Veteran actor Diane Keaton has defended her longtime friend and frequent collaborator, Woody Allen amid claims of sexual abuse by his adopted daughter with former partner Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow. Saying she has faith in her "Annie Hall" director, the 71-year-old actor shared an interview from 26 years ago in which he denied the allegations. "Woody Allen is my friend and I continue to believe him. It might be of interest to take a look at the 60 Minute interview from 1992 and see what you think," Keaton wrote alongside the link of the interview. Allen once again dismissed Farrow's claims, which have resurfaced in light of the #MeToo movement. Dylan accused the director of sexually abusing her in the early 1990s while she was a child. : Controversial movie, "Padmaavat" has generated a record USD 4.4 million over its three-day debut period in North America and USD 4.9 million in the first four days, setting a new record in itself. The period drama is now playing in 326 theatres across the US and Canada in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D formats. "Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated movie broke the record for the all-time biggest opening weekend for any Bollywood film in North America grossing USD 4.4 million over its three-day Friday-to-Sunday debut period and USD 4.9 million over the four-day Thursday-to-Sunday span," Box Office Guru said in a statement. Penelope Cruz to receive honorary Cesar Award

Penelope Cruz will receive an honorary Cesar Award, the French Academy has announced. The 43-year-old actor will be bestowed with the honour during the annual awards ceremony, the French equivalent of the Academy Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Penelope Cruz has the talent to shine in international productions as much as in (smaller) films, whether (she's working) for Ridley Scott, Rob Marshall, Kenneth Branagh, Sergio Castellitto, Fernando Trueba or Asghar Farhadi with whom she has just wrapped 'Everybody Knows' ('Todos Lo Saven') which will come out in May," Alain Terzian, the president of France's Academy of Arts and Techniques of Cinema, said in a statement. Ben Kingsley, Monica Bellucci to star in 'Spider in the Web'

Ben Kingsley and Monica Bellucci have joined the cast of espionage thriller "Spider in the Web". To be directed by Eran Riklis, the film has been written by Gidon Maron and Emmanuel Nakkache inspired by true events, reported Variety. The film follows the story of a highly-lauded secret agent, Adereth, who is deemed to be past his prime by his superiors. Haunted by his past, a last-minute redemption opportunity presents itself when he discovers a lead to the sales of chemical weapons to a Middle-Eastern dictatorship. Kingsley, 74, will play Adereth, while Bellucci, 53, will be his enigmatic target Angela. The film will also star Israeli actor Itay Tiran, who will play the role of Mossad agent Daniel. A youth has allegedly shot himself during a video call with his girlfriend in Patna.The incident took place on Monday, when the 19-year-old youth, with a semi-automatic pistol, shot himself in the head while chatting with his girlfriend on a video call, inside his residence.According to reports, the boy had failed an exam and was being pressured by family members to end relation with the girl.The police have begun the investigation into the matter.

Suraj Pal Amu discharged from hospital

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suraj Pal Amu, who was referred to Rohtak's Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) due to ill health, has been discharged and brought back to Gurugram's Bhondsi jail on Tuesday.Amu was admitted to the hospital, after he complained of ill health on the day he was to be produced before a Haryana court over his statements on the recently released film 'Padmaavat'.He was sent to judicial custody on January 26 over the same.He was taken into preventive detention.The Supreme Court is also hearing a plea filed against Amu over his anti-Padmaavat protest.The BJP leader is infamous for offering Rs 10 crore bounty for beheading actress Deepika Padukone and director Bhansali in November 2017 for allegedly distorting historical facts and showing Queen Padmini in a bad light in the film.
