After the Supreme Court on Thursday set the date for hearing on the biopic "PM Narendra Modi", for April 8, its makers said they won't release the film as scheduled on Friday.
The release of "PM Narendra Modi", a biopic on the prime minister, has been postponed till further notice, its producer Sandip Ssingh said on Thursday. "This is to confirm, our film 'PM Narendra Modi' is not releasing on 5th April. Will update soon," Ssingh posted on Twitter. The Congress had complained to the Election Commission over the release of the film on April 5, just a week before the first phase of polls were to begin. Opposition parties, including the Congress, alleged the film will give undue advantage to the BJP in electioneering and its release should be deferred till the elections are over.

"When it pertains to a love story, the underlying emotion of love stands tall across ages. 'Mughal-e-Azam' the musical, which tells this story through the ...

Amazon Studios has filed a rebuttal to Woody Allen's lawsuit in which the veteran filmmaker had alleged that the company breached their contract by refusing to distribute his latest film, "A Rainy Day in New York". It was reported in September 2018 that the film, which stars Timothee Chalamet, Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, Rebecca Hall and Jude Law, has been shelved indefinitely by Amazon Studios. The decision to shelve the project stemmed from the renewed focus on the director in the wake of Harvey Weinstein scandal and #MeToo movement. He has been accused of sexually assaulting his step-daughter Dylan Farrow when she was a seven-year-old in the early 1990s. In the USD 68 million suit, which Allen filed in February this year, the filmmaker had claimed that Amazon gave only vague reasons for dropping the project and abandoning a four-film deal it struck with him.
