Tigmanshu Dhulia directorial 'Milan Talkies' is all set to release on 18 January 2019.The film stars Ali Fazal and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles and is a love story set in the backdrop of old world charm of single-screen cinemas. The first schedule of the film was shot in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow followed by Mathura.Tigmanshu feels that the film is a fresh love story. "I have been working on the film for a long time and hence it is extremely close to my heart. It portrays a fresh love story and I am eager to show it to the audience," said Dhulia.Director Tigmanshu Dhila has also written the screenplay and dialogues for the film, along with Kamal Pandey.The film also stars Reecha Sinha, Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Mishra, Sikander Kher and Pankaj Tripathi.

US town commemorates 100th anniversary of WWI enemy attack
The 100th anniversary of the only enemy attack on American soil during World War I was commemorated with a wartime song at an event attended by descendants of a captain from a local lifesaving station. A German U-156 submarine shelled a tugboat near Orleans, in Cape Cod, on July 21, 1918, the first attack on the U.S. in 100 years. The U-boat sent hits to the tugboat Perth Amboy and its four barges and left an hour later. Several people were injured, but no one died in the assault or the counter-attack. The commemoration took place Saturday evening on Nauset Beach. A guitarist led a crowd in singing "Over There," a wartime song written by George M Cohan in 1917. Descendants of Capt. Robert Pierce, keeper of the Orleans Lifesaving Station during the attack, were present. The Nauset Sea Scout Ship Explorer Club, under the direction of skipper Dean Skiff, brought out its long surfboat, giving members of the public a chance to see if they could have rowed out to aide in the rescue of the ..

Australian writer and director, David Stevens, best known for his work in The Sum of Us, A Town like Alice, and Breaker Moran passed away at the age of 77.His partner, Loren Boothby Stevens told The Hollywood Reporter died of cancer in a hospice in Whangarei, New Zealand.Stevens co-wrote Breaker Morant with Bruce Beresford and Jonathan Hardy, earning an Oscar nomination.He wrote the play The Sum of Us, which ran in New York for a year and won the Outer Critics Circle Award.It was adapted it into a feature film, featuring Russell Crowe and Jack Thompson, which won an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Screenplay.Stevens directed the Emmy Award-winning mini-series A Town like Alice and wrote three novels - The Waters of Babylon, and two in collaboration with Alex Haley: Queen and Mama Flora's Family, which he then adapted into TV miniseries.In addition to Boothby, survivors include his sisters Eve and Maureen.

American actress Nicole Maines is set to make history on the fourth season of 'Supergirl' by becoming the first ever transgender superhero on television."I haven't really wrapped my head around it," Maines told TV exec editor Debra Birnbaum at Variety's Comic-Con Studio."It feels fitting to say with great power, comes great responsibility," she added.Nicole also made a guest appearance, as a transgender teen, in an episode of the USA Network TV drama Royal Pains.Maines was the pseudonymous plaintiff of Doe v. Clenchy, brought before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court in June 2013, which set a precedent for allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice.At San Diego Comic-Con 2018, it was announced that Maines would join the main cast of The CW series Supergirl as the first transgender superhero.The fourth season of 'Supergirl' will be aired on October 14 this year.
