President Droupadi Murmu on Monday described the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google and Alphabet, Sundar Pichai as a symbol of Indian talent and wisdom, and asked him to work for universal digital literacy in India. Pichai had called on the president at Rashtrapati Bhavan here. "CEO of Google and Alphabet Sundar Pichai called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The President described Shri Pichai, a recipient of Padma Bhushan, as a symbol of Indian talent and wisdom and urged him to work for universal digital literacy in India," the president's secretariat tweeted along with the pictures of the meeting.

President to launch EV yatra portal, mobile app on Energy Conservation Day

President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to launch an EV yatra portal and a mobile application, which will facilitate in-vehicle navigation to the nearest public EV charger, on Wednesday, a release said. President Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to Haryana starting Tuesday and will attend various programmes, including the International Gita Festival in Kurukshetra. According to a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, the president will grace the International Gita Seminar on Tuesday. On the occasion, she will virtually launch the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Sarvekshan Yojana, the Haryana e-ticketing projects for all public road transport facilities and lay the foundation stone for a medical college in Sirsa, it said. Rashtrapati Bhavan to open for public viewing for 5 days a week from Dec 1

Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open for public viewing for five days a week from December 1, an official statement said on Monday. People can pay a visit on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, except on gazetted holidays, in five time slots of one hour each, from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm, it said. They can also visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday, except on gazetted holidays, the statement issued by the President's secretariat said. Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of India. Every Saturday, people can also witness the Change of Guard ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt from 8 am-9 am, it said. Noida Police on Sunday banned use of drones by any individual or organisation till November 2 in view of President Droupadi Murmu and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's proposed visit to the city, an official statement said. President Droupadi Murmu would reach Agartala on Wednesday on a maiden two-day visit to the Northeastern state of Tripura, officials said. President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate several development projects in Tripura during her two-day visit to the northeastern state on Wednesday, officials said.
