World faces same problems that have existed for thousands of years: Bhagwat

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said despite the world's material progress, it continues to face the same problems that have existed for thousands of years. He said the solution to all problems lies in the ancient Indian concept of 'dharma' or 'spiritual oneness'. Bhagwat made these remarks at the inaugural session of the 8th International Conference and Gathering of Elders, organised by the International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS), a non-profit organisation dedicated to spiritual masters of ancient traditions and cultures. The conference will continue till February 1. Bhagwat pointed out that despite advancements in education and technology, wars still happen and there is a lack of peace both externally and internally. He highlighted the issues of ego, whether at an individual or community level, and the narrowness of mind. RSS chief on 3-day visit to Haryana; to meet outfit's workers, leaders

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Haryana on Friday for a three-day visit to the state during which he will meet the outfit's workers and functionaries as well as take part in many programmes, sources said. According to them, after arriving in Jind, Bhagwat inspected a painting workshop and later held a meeting of the RSS' state executive. With the RSS' centenary coming up in 2025, he is also likely to review preparations for the celebrations, the sources said. The painting workshop was organized under the joint aegis of Haryana Kala Parishad and Sanskar Bharti.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has said it is the responsibility of banks to identify the needs of the weaker sections and empower them. He was speaking on Saturday at the conclusion of golden jubilee function of the Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank in Kalyan area of Maharashtra's Thane district. Financial prosperity of the weaker sections is the foundation of banks, the RSS chief said. Banks should give priority to social development, while maintaining all economic parameters, Bhagwat said. He said it is the responsibility of banks to "identify needs of the weaker sections" and empower them, he said. The golden jubilee year of the Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank coincides with an increased responsibility to see how the organisation will run more dynamically in the future, he said.
