In its latest efforts at cracking down on the spread of problematic content on its platform, Instagram will no longer recommend you content that is deemed inappropriate in its app.Recommendations in the Explore tab or on hashtag pages will not recommend content which is inappropriate, sexually suggestive, or violent.Such content will be visible to the user if they follow the account associated with it, but it may not appear for others through the Explore tab or hashtag pages, Mashable reports.Other types of content that may be excluded include posts that are spammy. While content that is flagged off will definitely be removed, the new measure applies to more borderline content that is of low quality and non-recommendable.

Anonymous to the public just days ago, a US computer scientist named Katie Bouman has become an overnight sensation due to her role in developing a computer algorithm that allowed researchers to take the world's first image of a black hole. Sebi comes up with system audit framework for AMCs/MFs, asks to form technology committee

Markets regulator Sebi Thursday came out with revised guidelines for system audit to be conducted by mutual funds and asset management companies (AMCs). The guidelines come after "considering the importance of system audit in technology driven asset management activity and to enhance and standardise the system audit", Sebi said in a circular. Besides, mutual funds (MFs)/ AMCs have been directed to constitute a technology committee entrusted with the task of reviewing the cyber security and cyber resilience framework for MFs and AMCs, Sebi said in a separate circular. Sebi said the committee will comprise experts proficient in technology with at least one independent external expert with adequate experience in the area of technology in MF industry or BFSI, it added. The regulator has asked MFs and AMCs to conduct system audit on an annual basis by an eligible independent auditor. Tech giant Google Thursday said it has partnered with bullion refiner MMTC-PAMP India to allow Google Pay users to buy and sell gold through the app, a service that is already offered by the likes of Paytm, Mobikwik and PhonePe. Through this partnership with India's only LBMA accredited gold refinery, Google Pay users will be able to buy 99.99 per cent 24-karat gold, Google said in a statement. "Gold is core to Indian culture and tradition, making India the world's second largest consumer of gold.
