Mumbai, May 01 (ANI): Jet Airways employees held a peace protest at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai today. They marched to Sahar Police Station and gave an application regarding the issue. Speaking to ANI, President of All India Jet Airways Officers and Staff Association, Kiran Pawaskar said, "Board of directors, chairman and CO will go out of the country. The way Kingfisher people are running around, this situation should not happen with these people."

Ludhiana (Punjab), May 01 (ANI): On the preparations for 'Extremely Severe' cyclonic storm Fani, Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba said "We are ready for the cyclone". He further added that Eastern Naval Command at Visakhapatnam is ready, and all necessary measures have been taken in coordination with the state government of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. The cyclone has now intensified into an extremely severe cyclone and it is expected to hit the Odisha coast on Friday. It will impact the coastal Andhra districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.

Gadchiroli (Maharashtra), May 01 (ANI): A police vehicle carrying security personnel was attacked in an IED blast in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The vehicle was carrying 16 security personnel. All 15 security personnel and one private driver have lost their lives in the blast.
Mumbai, May 01 (ANI): The Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) Subodh Jaiswal addressed media after the death of 15 security personnel in an IED blast by Naxals in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli. He said, "We are prepared to give a befitting reply to this attack. Operations are going on in the area to ensure that no further casualties take place." While speaking on chance of intelligence failure, he further added, "It would not be right to term this as an intelligence failure. It is a dastardly attack, we will try our best that such incidents are not repeated."
