Pune (Maharashtra), Mar 21 (ANI): All petrol pumps in Pune will open from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm from March 21 to 31 amid coronavirus threat. Pune Petrol Dealers' Association has requested masses in large number to remain at their places if petrol or diesel is not necessarily required by the locals. While speaking to ANI, the Vice President of Pune Petrol Dealers' Association, Sagar Rukari said, "Petrol pumps in Pune will be open from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm. We have requested masses in large numbers to remain at their places if petrol or diesel is not necessarily required by them."

Tirumala (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 21 (ANI): Amid growing cases of coronavirus, Balaji Temple closed for devotees in Tirumala. The temple will be closed for a week with an immediate effect. New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): As COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact nations and economies, tech companies in the information business are doing their bit to ensure people receive trusted information and YouTube is the latest to announce its new measures. The official YouTube Insider account tweeted that it is launching a COVID-19 news shelf on its homepage in 16 countries to give users access to authoritative content. The dedicated section will be expanded to more countries as well. It is unclear which all countries the feature has been extended. At the time of writing, the feature does not appear to be enabled for Indian users.
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Mar 21 (ANI): The railway station in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram has been deserted due to cancellation of several trains. The trains have been cancelled across India amid coronavirus threat. Indian Railways on March 20 announced that all passenger trains will remain cancelled on March 22 in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for a 'Janata Curfew'. All passenger trains originating between midnight of March 21-22 shall not be run. However, the passenger train services already on run at 07:00 hours on the day will be allowed to run to the destinations. Divisions should keep a watch and trains which are empty could be short terminated if required.
Ludhiana (Punjab), Mar 21 (ANI): An FIR has been registered against a school's administration in Punjab's Ludhiana on March 20. FIR was registered for opening the school despite government's order to shut all educational institutions. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the number of positive coronavirus cases in India rose to 236. There have been five deaths in the country due to coronavirus so far as per information given by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
New Delhi, Mar 21 (ANI): After information of singer Kanika Kapoor being coronavirus positive came out, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh informed that he is isolating himself for 14 days. In a video, Sanjay Singh said, "After the information about singer Kanika Kapoor and BJP MP Dushyant Singh came out, TMC MP Derek O'Brien is keeping himself in self-isolation for 14 days. As a precautionary step, I am also isolating myself for 14 days. I am taking this decision in keeping in view of others safety."

He said, "On Sunday (March 22) all public transport facilities will be shut by Amdavad Municipal Corporation to support initiative of 'Janata Curfew'. Mohali (Punjab), Mar 21 (ANI): Amid growing cases of coronavirus in India, Airport Authority of India has taken various preventive measures at Chandigarh International Airport. They have taken several measures to contain the spread of the virus at the airport. Employees have been instructed to check thermal scanning of every passenger. Workers at the airport are actively sanitising the airport. There has been designated medical help desk to provide assistance. AAI has also installed standees and displayed helpline numbers everywhere at the airport to spread the awareness. Cleanliness has been taken care of at the airport. Centre and state governments are taking every measure to contain the spreading of the dreadful virus.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 21 (ANI): While speaking to media in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on March 20, the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Commissionerate Lucknow, Sujeet Pandey spoke on coronavirus. He said, "We have made 14 teams in commissionerate of Lucknow each comprising of 10 members." "We are working with district administration and addressing all the issues and also attending to them promptly," Lucknow CP added.

Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu), Mar 21 (ANI): Around eight persons died in an explosion in Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar district on March 20. The incident took place at a fireworks factory. Around 11 persons were also injured during the explosion. More details are awaited and further probe is underway in this regard.
New Delhi, mar 20(ANI): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on March 20 said that she had meetings with multiple ministries including Civil Aviation and Tourism and Animal Husbandry to announce stimulus packages to reduce the impact of shutdown due to coronavirus outbreak. She said that the economic task force, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to nation on March 19, has not been constituted yet. "The compilation of the data from the meetings is going on, will update soon," added the Finance Minister.

Bengaluru, Mar 20 (ANI): Amid COVID-19 haunting the world and people are bound to use hand sanitisers and soaps, the demand of sanitisers has rocketed drastically in India also. Due to which some people started making fake sanitisers and played with lives of the people. Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Central Crime Branch's (CCB) Bangalore on March 20 seized fake hand sanitisers worth Rs 56 lakh during raids at two factories in Bengaluru. Two accused have also been taken into custody and a case has been registered.

New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices broke four days of losing streak and ended 5.7 per cent higher on Friday on global cues as policymakers swung into action to minimise the human and economic impact of coronavirus pandemic. The BSE S-P Sensex closed 1,628 points or 5.75 per cent higher at 29,916 while the Nifty 50 ticked up by 482 points or 5.83 per cent to 8,745. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty FMCG up by 8.7 per cent, IT by 8.5 per cent, metal by 7.6 per cent and pharma by 4 per cent. Among stocks, Bharti Infratel was up by 22.6 per cent to Rs 152.10 per share while ONGC jumped by 17.9 per cent and GAIL by 16.3 per cent.
New Delhi, Mar 20 (ANI): Lok Sabha MP Hema Malini on March 20 reacted on the hanging of Nirbhaya's convicts in Tihar Jail. Expressing her satisfaction over the execution of the convicts, she said that the execution of the convicts in Nirbhaya case took time but it finally happened which is a good thing. "Women across the country are very happy with this development. I believe, from now onwards people will be scared to commit any crime against women," she said. The four death row convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case were hanged in Tihar jail early morning on Friday.
