Locals carry pregnant woman to hospital on sling in Odisha's Kalahandi

Kalahandi (Odisha), July 29 (ANI): A pregnant woman was carried to the hospital on a sling by the locals during heavy rain in Odisha's Kalahandi. The hospital was located 7 km from the village. The woman had to be carried by locals due to lack of road connectivity. Locals claimed that government has not taken any action. The woman has been admitted to the hospital. Medical treatment is underway.

Schools and houses have been destroyed due to the flood in the district. People are still in relief camps waiting for help. Case is being registered on complaint of Unnao rape case victim's uncle: ADG Lucknow

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), July 29 (ANI): Unnao rape case victim got seriously injured and two other got killed in a "suspicious" accident on Sunday. While addressing a press conference in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow today on Unnao rape case victim's accident, Additional Director General (ADG) of Lucknow Zone Rajeev Krishna said, "Case is being registered on complaint of Mahesh Singh (uncle of Unnao rape victim) and he has also requested to transfer this case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). We are getting a report on that request and as soon as that report comes it will be recommended to CBI." "We are investigating if numbers of driver, cleaner and owner (of the truck) match with known numbers of Kuldeep Singh Sengar (accused in Unnao rape case) and his associates," he added.

Unnao rape survivor, lawyer on ventilator but in stable condition: KGMU Hospital

Lucknow, July 29 (ANI): King George's Medical University Hospital's Media in-Charge, Sandeep Tiwari on Unnao rape survivor's condition said that she along with lawyer are on ventilator but they are in stable condition. "Girl has fracture on her leg and a head injury. On the other side lawyer has multiple fractures and head injury," told Hospital official. A case was filed against BJP legislator Kuldeep Sengar after yesterday's accident in Raebareli, in which two women died and a teenager he allegedly raped two years ago, got injured.

Bodies of mother, her 3 children found hanging in house at Pune

Pune (Maharashtra), July 29 (ANI): In a shocking incident, the bodies of a 28-year-old woman and her three children were found hanging inside their house in Pune on Sunday. The three children-two girls and a boy were found hanging with a rope from a single hook in the ceiling while their mother. Fatima Akram allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a cloth in another room. The deceased were natives of Karnataka, who had recently shifted to the Pimpri-Chinchwad area of Pune. The incident came to light when the woman's husband Akram returned home in the evening and found the door latched from inside. He got no response despite repeated knocks on the door. The police broke open the door and found the bodies. Akram, who used to be a fruit seller, is currently unemployed. The police suspect Fatima took the extreme step because of financial woes. Police Inspector Shankar Awtade said, "Akram had incurred heavy losses in his fruit business and the woman's father also died recently.

Youth Congress workers 'purify' PWD office with 'Gaumutra' after Dalit MLA's protest in Thrissur

Due to lack of space in her vehicle, she requested the security personnel deputed for security not to accompany her to Raebareli yesterday. Two members of her family have died in the accident".
