Bengaluru, July 26 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has staked claim to form government in Karnataka three days after the Congress-JD(S) coalition government failed the floor test. BJP's BS Yeddyurappa on Thursday met state Governor Vajubhai Vala. Yeddyurappa will take oath as the Chief Minister today at 6pm around. He will have to prove majority in the assembly by July 31. The Congress-JD(S) alliance received 99 votes against the BJP's 105 in the floor test.

New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan on June 25 caused uproar with his remarks on BJP member Rama Devi, who was in the chair, during the debate on the Triple Talaq Bill. The BJP members felt that the remark was inappropriate. While speaking to ANI, Rama Devi on Azam Khan's remark on her said, "He has never respected women. We all know what he had said about Jaya Prada ji. He has no right to stay in Lok Sabha. I will request Speaker to dismiss him. Azam Khan must apologise."
New Delhi, July 26 (ANI): Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday defended his party leader Azam Khan's remark on BJP MP Rama Devi that gave during the Parliament session on Wednesday. While speaking to mediapersons, he said, "If any unparliamentary words were used yesterday... if BJP MPs take back their words and if I have used any unparlimentary words, I will also take them back." Jaipur (Rajasthan), July 26 (ANI): In a high level meeting organized at Chief Minister's residence in Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot reviewed the drinking water supply, availability of water in reservoirs and sowing of kharif crop. During the meeting, he directed the chief secretary of disaster management to assess the need of contingency after discussing with different departments and district collectors. CM Gehlot instructed the concerned departments to be prepared with the emergency arrangements in view of delay in rain. He said that the concerned department should prepare contingency plan for the drinking water and livestock fodder. They should also complete required procedures and financial sanction in advance. Underlining the importance of agriculture, Gehlot said that agriculture department should encourage farmers to sow such crops which require less water and time to grow and so they don't have to depend on rain completely. Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh), July 26 (ANI): Locals had mercilessly beaten a tigress in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit. Villagers claimed that it had injured 9 people and later was trapped by them, They beat her with stick and broke her ribs. A case has been registered against at least 43 villagers. On speaking on the incident, District Magistrate of Pilibhit, Vaibhav Srivastava said, "Postmortem of the tiger is underway. On basis of the video, case registered against few persons. Further investigation is underway."."

Villagers face problems during rainy season as the water in rivers swell due to floods. These bridges will not only help locals to commute easily but will also save their time. These bridges are being constructed by the PWD department of Rajouri.

Bijapur (Chhattisgarh), July 26 (ANI): A primary school in Naxal affected Padmoor village in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur was reopened after 14 years. Around 52 students took admission in the school. They were handed over books, study materials and sports equipment by village head, Gonde Somu. The school was closed due to the threat from the ultras. The occasion has brought a fresh lease life for the villagers. To celebrate the development, they decorated the site with balloons. Students are also provided with the mid-day meal at the school.
