Bengaluru (Karnataka), May 04 (ANI): Thousand of migrant workers were waiting for their registration and checking at Palace ground in Bengaluru to return to their hometowns. Police ensured that social distancing was practiced and there was no chaos in the queues. They also instructed the migrant workers to wear masks. A volunteer said, "Here they are only doing the checking, when will the train come, how many trains will come, no one is informed about that."

Salons reopen in green zones in Goa as per MHA guidelines

Panaji (Goa), May 04 (ANI): In the view of COVID-19 pandemic, salons reopened in Goa's Panaji on May 04. As per the guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) salons allowed to open in green and orange zones. Goa became the coronavirus-free state in less time as it has not recorded any case since April 03. Lockdown 3.0 begins from May 04 with considerable relaxations issued by the government. Nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 17 with certain relaxations.

Migrant workers gather at Central Bus Stand in Kalaburagi to return to their hometowns

Kalaburagi (Karnataka), May 04(ANI): Amid nationwide lockdown, migrant workers gathered at Central Bus Stand in Kalaburagi on May 04. These migrant workers are heading towards their hometowns. Kalaburagi City Corporation Commissioner Rahul Pandve said, "We've made arrangements for registration. Thermal screening is being done for all." He further said, "Food packets and water bottles are being provided to all. Buses carrying migrant workers started arriving since 5 am today. We are expecting around 70 buses. This process will continue for next 3 days."

Fire breaks out in sanitizer, textile factory in Haryana's Ambala

Long queues were seen outside liquor shops amid relaxations in lockdown 3.0

Hubli/Raipur, May 04(ANI): After the government gave certain relaxation in lockdown 3.0, people were seen standing in queues outside a liquor shops in Hubli and Raipur. Karnataka state government had permitted the sale of liquor between 9 am to 7 pm from May 04. Police ensured that the social distancing measures are being followed.

Tea gardens resume work with 25% labour amid lockdown extension in Siliguri

Siliguri (WB), May 04(ANI): Amid lockdown extension and certain relaxations given by the government, Siliguri tea gardens observed movement as labourers got back to work. Following government's rule of keeping 25% labour, tea garden owners are using labours in rotation. Daily wage workers who work in the tea garden said, "We are daily wage workers, right now, we are getting work for 2 days in a week, it has become difficult to run our families." He further added that the loss which we have suffered in this year is equal to 10 years.

14 migrants tested corona positive after returning to Chhattisgarh: State's Health Minister

Raipur (Chhattisgarh), May 04 (ANI): Health Minister of Chhattisgarh, TS Singh Deo, on May 03 informed that out of all the migrant workers who have returned from different states, 14 have so far tested positive in Chhattisgarh. The migrant workers who have tested positive are form Kabirdham district and Durg district. He said, "Out of all the migrant workers who have returned from different states, 14 have tested positive - 6 from Kabirdham district, 8 from Durg district." Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Chhattisgarh stands at 43.

Flypasts to showering flowers, this is how IAF honoured corona warriors

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): The activities were conducted in honour of COVID-19 warriors including doctors, sanitation workers, media and policemen, who continue to serve the country amid COVID-19 crisis. Indian Armed Forces on May 3 expressed gratitude towards medical professionals and all other frontline COVID-19 warriors. Armed forces conducted several events like flypasts by fighter jets over state capitals, aerial flower showers and performances by military bands outside hospitals. The gesture of special gratitude was announced on May 1 by Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and the three service chiefs. Indian Air Force organised flypasts by fighter and transport aircraft from Srinagar to Thiruvananthapuram, and another one starting from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kutch in Gujarat. Steam ends Mac support for SteamVR

New Delhi, May 04 (ANI): Video game digital distribution service Steam has announced that it will no longer support SteamVR on macOS. The company first introduced, SteamVR for Apple computers, in the 2017's Worldwide Developers Conference. Steam has now ended the support which lasted for about three years. The move was announced in a short post on SteamVR's news page, laid out in a single sentence: "SteamVR has ended macOS support so our team can focus on Windows and Linux." Mac users will still have some access to the feature, however, via legacy builds. One door closes, another will surely open.
