His decision to move the United Nations in 1948 was a Himalayan mistake, a mistake greater than Himalaya. He made another mistake by selecting wrong charter to refer matter to UN."
Patna (Bihar), Sep 29 (ANI): While speaking on the flood situation in parts of Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, "There has been heavy rainfall in some areas since yesterday and water in Ganga River is rising constantly. But there are proper arrangements and administration is at the spot and making all the efforts to help people. Arrangements are being done to provide drinking water to all. Also, arrangements are being made for community kitchens for the flood-affected people"
New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended a discussion programme on "National Security Perspective of Security" at Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra at Teen Murti Bhawan on September 29. While addressing the event, Shah said that the responsibility of writing history was in the hands of the same people who had committed mistakes, so as a result, true facts were hidden. "Even today there are many rumours doing rounds about Article 370 and Kashmir. It is important to clarify them. We know that since 1947, Kashmir has been a matter of discussion and controversy but distorted history was presented before people. Dungarpur (Rajasthan), Sep 29 (ANI): Around 20 schoolchildren were escaped in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district on September 28. They were stuck after the truck they were travelling in veered off in the flooded road. The mishappening occurred while the driver was carrying dozen of schoolchildren in a truck.
New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (September 29) said e-cigarettes were banned to prevent the youth from falling into the new way of intoxication. He also said there are several misconceptions being spread about use of e cigarettes, including the one which says that it is not harmful for health. In the latest edition of his monthly 'Mann ki Baat' radio address Modi said several harmful chemicals are added to e cigarettes which have a bad effect on health. Urging people to shun tobacco, the prime minister warned that e-cigarettes, which are used as a "fashion statement", are a new way of getting addicted to nicotine. There is very little awareness among people about e-cigarettes. They are completely unaware of its danger and for this reason sometimes e-cigarettes find their way into homes out of curiosity.
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 29 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted door-to-door campaign in Varanasi on September 29. CM Yogi reached at residence of several people in the city during the campaign. He was also accompanied by other officials of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on this occasion. Bhagalpur (Bihar), Sep 29 (ANI): At least three people died after a wall collapsed in Bihar. The incident occurred in Bhagalpur following heavy rain in the region. More people are feared trapped under the debris. Rescue teams rushed to the spot immediately after the incident was reported.

Amritsar (Punjab), Sep 29 (ANI): The 10-day 'Langur Mela' began at Bada Hanuman Mandir in Amritsar. Devotees in a large number gathered at the mandir to offer prayers. It is believed that parents wish for a child and vow to dress them as langurs once their wish is granted.
Patna (Bihar), Sep 29 (ANI): Around 24 districts of Bihar including Patna were badly hit after incessant rains lashed the state on September 28. The locals are forced to carry body in a cart due to incessant rainfall in Alamganj area of Patna. The body was being taken in a cart to the hospital for postmortem. Locals are facing several problems in the low-lying areas due to continuous rainfall. Heavy rain lashed wide areas of Patna causing water-logging problem. Patna remained the worst affected after several localities in the city were left water-logged after the rains. Normal life was thrown out of gear after rainwater entered in the residential areas and houses were submerged under knee-deep water. The team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is rescuing the people and animals from low-lying areas of the city.

SC also asked the Kerala government to pay Rs 25 lakh interim compensation to each flat owner within the time frame of four-weeks. The owners of flat protested and sat on hunger strike in Kerala's Kochi on September 29. They will also meet the District Collector to get their voices heard. The apex court also ordered setting up of a one-member committee of retired high court judge to oversee the demolition and assess total compensation. Court also fixed the matter for further hearing on October 25.

Onboard, Sep 29 (ANI): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh practiced yoga with security personnel onboard INS Vikramaditya. Rajnath Singh commissioned the second Kalvari-class submarine INS Khanderi on September 28 in Mumbai. Khanderi is built at state-run Mazgaon Dock Limited and underwent rigorous sea trials for over two and a half years. He also launched the warship 'Nilgiri', the first of the Project 17 Alpha (P17A) class ships.
Hyderabad, Sep 29 (ANI): The Bajrang Dal has urged all 'Garba' and 'Dandiya' organisers to make Aadhar Card mandatory at entry points of the events in order to identify people of 'non-Hindus' communities.We have asked the event organisers to mandate Aadhar Cards at the entry spot to identify non-Hindus entering the venues and also to avoid employing Non-Hindus as bouncers for these events," said S Kailash, Media Convener, Bajrang Dal. "Also, the event managers are hiring non-Hindu bouncers which seem to be a main cause for these miscreants to enter the events. Another major lapse is lack of monitoring and control on who enters the events," he said.
