Mumbai, Sep 24 (ANI): Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor took some time off from her busy schedule to meet and greet her fans and celebrated the success of her recent back to back releases, 'Saaho' and 'Chhichhore' in Mumbai. For the occasion, the actress wore a white tank top and blue loose denims, paired with Kolhapuri chappals. The actress looked absolutely pretty and flashed her million-dollar smile for the paparazzi. HM Amit Shah launches portal for private security agency licencing

New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a government web portal to help private security agencies get the licence at a function here on Tuesday. 'Private Security Agency Licensing Portal' will help private agencies in police verification of security guards, expand their business across the country apart from providing other facilities. Speaking at the launch event at Ambedkar International Centre, Shah said the portal will reduce formalities to get the licence and expand the business. "It will help you expand your business. I believe this portal will help you in a great way and give multi-dimensional speed to the industry," he said. The portal, Shah said, will be available in several Indian languages within 90 days and more facilities will be added to it on a later stage. Private Security Agency Licensing Portal has police data of all state and cover over 90 per cent police stations, he said.

New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in the national capital on September 24, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan said, "You have seen the situation due to floods in several parts of country like in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh etc, the transportation is disturbed, that is also one of the reasons." "We have kept 50,000 ton onion in buffer stock," he added. His comments came amid surging price of onions in the market due to floods in several parts of country.

Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar made musical entry during trailer launch of 'Saand Ki Aankh'

Mumbai, Sep 24 (ANI): The trailer of much awaited movie 'Saand Ki Aankh' was launched in Mumbai on September 23. Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar were present during the trailer launch. The film showcases life of Haryana-based sharpshooters, Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, played by Bhumi and Taapsee respectively. Before the trailer launch, Bhumi and Taapsee made a musical entry on a tractor. Taapsee was looking gorgeous wearing a floral print shirt with high waist pant, while Bhumi was seen wearing a multi-coloured suit. To get into her character of Prakashi, Taapsee lived with Chandro and Prakashi at their residence in Haryana. 'Saand Ki Aankh' also stars Viineet Kumar Singh and Shaad Randhawa. Not right to call someone 'gunda': Ashwini Choubey on threatening police personnel for registering case against BJP worker

Buxar (Bihar), Sep 24 (ANI): While holding a 'Janta Darbar' in Bihar's Buxar on September 23, the Minister of State (MoS) for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey threatened police personnel for registering a case against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker. Ashwini Choubey said, "Who told you to call him (BJP worker) a 'gunda' (hooligan) and why you gave him a notice?" Later, he clarified his statement and told media persons, "Some BJP workers and workers of other political parties, who protested against corruption and crime in 2003 were called 'gunda' by the present administration." Madurai Corporation seizes plastic bags from flower market, fines 2 shop owners

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Sep 24 (ANI): The Madurai Corporation has conducted a surprise check at a flower market in the city on September 24. They have seized around 100 kg of plastic bags from the flower market. The surprise check was conducted near MGR bus stand in Madurai. Fine of Rs 25000 each has been imposed on two shop owners of the market. Single-use plastics are often referred to as disposal items that are used for packaging and include items intended for use only once. The Centre gave advisory to the states to ban production of certain kinds of articles of single-use plastic before October 02. The deadline was set by the Prime Minister for the citizens to give up the single-use plastic. The most common single-use plastics found are carry bags, drinking bottles, plastic bottle caps, food wrappers, plastic grocery bags, plastic sachets etc.

Onions worth over Rs 8 lakh stolen from godown in Patna

New Delhi, Sep 24 (ANI): Government of India is selling onions at Rs 22 per kg in the national capital on September 24. People queued up in large numbers to buy onions which is being sold by the Centre. The government is selling onions near Krishi Bhavan in Delhi. Due to heavy monsoons, low production has pushed onion prices to nearly Rs 80 per kg. Vegetable sellers are selling the onion at Rs 80 per kg in the market at various places.

Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir), Sep 23 (ANI): Government opens an internet facility centre for students in Pulwama. Students can avail the facility to fill forms as rest of the state face restricted internet facility. Other necessities such as downloading admit cards or paying fee can also be done at this centre.
