Celebrations in full swing on Durga Ashtami

Nepal, Oct 09 (ANI): On the day of Ashtami (the 8th day of Navratri), people in Nepal celebrated the occasion by sacrificing sheep and goats at the famous Gehvayi mandir in Nepal's Birgunj. The market was flooded with different variety of food items to lure the visitors. People in large number had gathered to seek blessings at the temple. The people fed their animals before sacrificing them to the god. Household items, dresses and toys for children were some other things that attracted the people.

Baloch protests against Chinese involvement in mayhem on Balochistan

Near Quetta, Pakistan, Oct 09 (ANI): Exasperated by the atrocities of Pakistan on Balochistan and Chinese involvement in the mayhem, Baloch nationals on Sunday raised anti-Pakistan and anti-China slogans in Pakistan's Quetta. The Free Balochistan Movement protesters burned effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Army Chief Raheel Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Baloch activists accused China of helping Pakistan in committing atrocities and human rights violations in Balochistan. A large number of Baloch women and children also took part in the rally and blocked main road for several hours. The protest was against the occupation and exploitation of Baloch natural resources in the name of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor - CPEC on Baloch territory by Pakistan and China.

Madhesis not satisfied with Nepal Govt's approach towards the region

Birgunj, Nepal, Oct 08 (ANI): Maintaining there is no difference between the KP Sharma Oli and the Prachanda Government, the Madhesi community in Nepal's Birgunj is still agitating for its demands. Asserting the need for a strong leadership, a textile merchant from Nepal's Birgunj, Rajesh Rauniyar, said that the needs and demands of the Madhesis are being ignored and the residents are not satisfied with the government. He added that the current Prachanda government is not able to fulfill the promises it had made earlier. Mentioning road construction as one of the major issue that is being ignored, he said that every monsoon potholes are filled with water causing inconvenience for commuters.

Japanese culture and food showcased at Tourism Expo

Tokyo, Oct 06 (ANI): Food stalls showcasing traditional Japanese culture cheered up Tokyo's Nihonbashi district as part of a major tourism exposition promoting vacation spots at home and abroad. Organized by Japan Association of Travel Agents and the Japan Travel and Tourism Association, the expo attracted some 1180 businesses and organizations from 140 countries. Madhesi leader urges people to make Birgunj clean and green

Birgunj (Nepal), Oct 06 (ANI): After Kathmandu, the Madhesi Gathbandhan Morcha people have sought to make Nepal's Birgunj city clean and green. PoK residents confirm terror camps thriving in region

Residents of Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Chinari, Mirpur , Gilgit, Diamer and various parts of the Neelum Valley say their lives has been made a living hell by the terror training camps as the lawless men, who train here, plunder local villages and molest the women of the area. They say that their region is being used by the ISI to further its proxy war against India. People Suffer Due To Huge Power Crisis in Gilgit Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan, Oct 05: Gilgit-Baltistan is experiencing acute power shortages. Load shedding and power breakdowns are routine and result in disruption of businesses, educational institutions and other health facilities. Students face the brunt particularly as their studies are affected badly. The existing power plants and their capacity of power generation are on the decline and the shortfall is widening. The local administration has consistently failed in delivering up to the promises. And due to government's lack of interest, the region's resources have not been optimally utilized. Telangana MP Kavitha celebrates Bathukamma

Taliban launches yet another assault on Kunduz

Kunduz, Afghanistan, Oct 03 (ANI): A year after briefly taking over the city, the Taliban have again launched an assault on Afghanistan's Kunduz on Monday. The assault began in the wee hours at the southern and eastern parts of the city where the Islamist militants were engaged in battles with government forces.
