Dhaka (Bangladesh), July 03 (ANI): Ruling out the existence of Islamic State in the country, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said the militants, who attacked the restaurant in Dhaka, were home grown. When asked if the ISIS was behind the attack, Khan stated the group has no existence in the country, adding the problem is of home grown terrorists, who want to contact them. Khan further assured that the government would soon uproot all militants from Bangladesh's soil.

The security forces were seen stopping vehicles for frisking in many localities. Dhaka (Bangladesh), July 02 (ANI): According to eyewitnesses, five gunmen have been killed, one has been captured and two unaccounted for in the ongoing offensive launched by the Dhaka Police on a popular upscale eatery with expatriates in the diplomatic quarter in Dhaka late last evening. Reportedly 13 hostages have been rescued as per Lieutenant Colonel Tuhin Mohammad Masud. This apparently includes Japanese and an Indian national.

Islamic State is claiming the responsibility for the attack and says more than 20 people have been killed in the attack. The gunmen attacked the Holey Artisan restaurant at around 9 p.m. last night. Police say they are preparing to start an operation to rescue the hostages.

Islamic State, which has claimed the attacks, posted photos of what it said were dead foreigners killed in the assault on the cafe, where police believe eight to nine gunmen are holed up and armed with assault rifles and grenades.
Nepal, June 30 (ANI): Lawmakers of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Centre) have demanded Parliament to take initiative to address grievances of agitating Madhesi parties. The lawmakers took up the matter in Parliament and called for the formation of a special committee to address the issue. Lawmakers urged the Speaker to take initiative to form the special committee as the government had failed to take any concrete step to solve the problem. The Madhesi parties have been boycotting the Parliament for the last nine months expressing their dissatisfaction towards the new constitution. They also boycotted Parliament meeting saying that the government was not serious about the demarcation issue.

According to Istanbul Governor, at least three people were involved in the attack at one of Europe's busiest airports that took place late last evening. Nepal, June 25 (ANI): Sadhbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato has said that the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) will sit for talks with the government without the agitating Federal Alliance, which is a combined force of Madhesi and indigenous parties. Tashkent (Uzbekistan), June 24 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Friday informed that the decision on India's entry into the Nuclear Supplier's Group (NSG) has again come to a halt with countries, including China, opposing New Delhi's bid, requiring it to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Swarup added that India's stand has been well-known by the other countries, stating that the point has been discussed within the NSG at every Plenary since 2011. Swarup further thanked the countries which supported India's membership and appraised India's application positively.
