In its efforts to provide quality services for treating patients in renal replacement therapy (RRT), multi-speciality health services provider Apollo Hospitals announced a collaboration with the US-listed Medtronic Inc. Under the partnership, Apollo will leverage the technology of Medtronic to provide hemodialysis svcs to end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients.
Medtronic would invest Rs 150 crore in India, for the manufacture and development of key equipments used in hemodialysis services. " We're undertaking this initiative to explore opportunities in dialysis under the affordable treatment services for ESRD patients,” said Prathap C Reddy, chairman, Apollo Hospitals.
