CPCL resumes rest of the operations at Manali Refinery

The operations were halted due to the recent rains

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) has resumed the operations in the Crude Distillation Unit - II and Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit of the Manali Refinery of CPCL resumed on December 22, 2015 and December 23, 2015 respectively, after severe rains affected the operations earlier this month.

Due to heavy rains and water logging in the refinery premises, as a precautionary safety measure, the Manali Refinery was shutdown effective from the night of December 2, and the Cauvery Basin Refinery at Nagapattinam was shutdown effective from the night of December 6, 2015.

The operations in the Manali Refinery, except Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit and Crude Distillation Unit - II, resumed on December 16 and the operations in Cauvery Basin Refinery resumed effective December 14, 2015, it said earlier.
