Copper up marginally on global cues

Copper prices moved up by 0.15% to Rs 409.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on firm global cues.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.15% to Rs 409.60 per kg 23,004 lots.
The August contract edged up by 45 paise, or 0.11% to Rs 413.90 per kg in 1,780 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper futures to a firm global trend.
Meanwhile, copper climbed 1.3% to 7,399 dollar a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
