Justice Mohapatra sworn-in as judge of Manipur High Court

Justice Laxmi Kanta Mohapatra, a former judge of the Allahabad High Court, was today sworn-in as a judge of Manipur High Court.

Governor Ashwani Kumar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Justice Mohapatra at the Raj Bhavan here.

Official sources said Justice Mohapatra would act as acting Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court till the appointment of a full time Chief Justice.

Former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court Abhay M Sapre was transferred as Chief Justice of the Guwahati High Court, sources added.
