Zydus Cadila PAT up 39%

Reaping benefits from its recent collaborative research programmes, Ahmedabad-based pharmaceutical company Cadila Healthcare, the parent company of Zydus Cadila group, reported an increase in its net profit by 39 per cent to Rs 131.92 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 from Rs 94.88 crore for the corresponding period last year.

Total income from operations was up by 28 per cent year-on-year to Rs 945.8 crore in the second quarter of the current year as compared to Rs 740.9 crore of the same period in the previous year, on a consolidated basis. EBIDT of the company was up by 35 per cent year-on-year to Rs 205.7 crore from Rs 152.5 crore. Owing to Cadila's 101 per cent year-on-year growth in its US business, the company's revenue saw a 46 per cent rise in global formulations business.The wellness business posted a growth of 37 per cent and the API exports saw growth of 44 per cent in the same period.
