Aurobindo Pharma Q3 net up 10% at Rs 189 cr

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 188.63 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, up 9.81% as compared to Rs 171.77 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous finnacial year.

Total income rose 29.49% from Rs 925.25 crore in the year-ago quarter to Rs 1,198.08 crore for the quarter under review.

On a standalone basis, the firm's net net profit rose 24% to Rs 183.85 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 148.26 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous financial year.

The firm's total income rose 42.36% from Rs 813.15 crore in  the year-ago quarter to Rs 1,157.66 crore for the quarter under review.
