Bharti Cellular Launches Airtel Service In Kerala

Bharti Cellular Ltd (BCL), a subsidiary of Bharti Tele-Ventures, today announced the launch of its AirTel brand cellular services covering 80 towns of Kerala on day one itself.

The company had launched its service in the Tamil Nadu circle on Wednesday.

Claiming this was one of the fastest rollouts in the history of telecom across India, Sunil Bharti Mittal, group managing director said his company has put in a total investment of Rs 200 crore and set up the requisite infrastructure comprising a state-of-the-art mobile network of 200 cell sites, switching centre, customercare call centre and 34 exclusive one-stop mobile shops within seven months of signing the pact.
