Bsnl To Hike Corporate Rentals In Rival-Free Zones

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has decided to hike the monthly rentals on basic telephones for corporates from Rs 250 to Rs 310 only in areas where there is no competition from private players. BSNL offers basic telephony services in 24 circles and two metros, of which it faces competition from private operators in six states. The move is expected to bring in additional revenue of Rs 400 crore annually for the company.
