Divis' Q4 bottomline dips marginally

Divis Laboratories reported a net profit of Rs 22.89 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006, 0.3 per cent lower as compared to Rs 22.96 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2005.

Total income for the same period went up from Rs 115.12 crore in 2005 to Rs 129.67crore in 2006, higher by 12.6 per cent.

For the year 2005-06, net profit was higher by 6.7 per cent at Rs 70.47 crore as compared to Rs 66.03 crore in 2004-05. Total income for the year was Rs 391.73 crore, higher by 7.4 per cent as compared to Rs 364.52 crore in the previous year.

The company's board has recommended a dividend of 100 per cent on equity shares of Rs 10 each for the year.
