French firm Egis Road Operation, specialising in operation and maintenance of road projects today announced forming a JV with DSC Ltd for managing infrastructure projects in India with Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway as its first contract.
"Egis Road Operation...And DSC Ltd...Have entered into a joint venture, setting-up an operations and maintenance company called Egis Infra Management India that will manage the complete operation and maintenance of road and other infrastructure projects owned by public or private sector clients in India," the company said in a statement.
The first contract of Egis Infra Management India will be the prestigious Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, it said.
Announcing the JV, Deputy CEO, Egis Road Operation Francois Bienvenue said, "This joint venture...Will benefit immensely from our experience of successfully managing 20 projects worldwide with 1,600 kms of toll road and over a million commuter transactions daily."
Commenting on the partnership, DSC Ltd Director Manhad Narula said, "Egis Infra Management India will be the first specialist O&M company in the country. We believe, it will significantly improve management of roads in India resulting in better driving experiences for millions of commuters."
Egis Road has more than 20 projects in roads and infrastructure space worldwide while DSC Ltd has presence in roads, expressways and railway space in India.
